You will play a crucial role in ensuring learners receive stimulating and enriching lessons that enhance their language skills and ignite their enthusiasm for learning. Role Accountabilities You will be responsible for delivering high-quality English language teaching tailored to diverse needs, monitoring student progress, providing feedback, and promoting learner autonomy. Your role involves improving courses, integrating technology, managing administrative tasks, and fostering relationships that enrich students' understanding of UK culture. Collaboration, professional development, marketing support, customer service, and adherence to safeguarding, equality, diversity, inclusion, and health and safety standards are also key responsibilities. Essentials Qualifications & Experience Undergraduate or University degree CELTA or TESOL certification At least 2 years post-certification teaching experience across various age groups and levels Desirables Diploma in EFL (DELTA) Teaching Young Learners Extension Certificate (TYLEC) or CELTYL Bachelor of Education or PGCE Experience with myClass, IELTS, Business English, Young Learners, or Primary teaching Important Information English proficiency at CEFR C2 level Location: Bogotá Hourly Rate: CELTA certified 71,378 COP; DELTA certified 78,510 COP Proof of identity and right to work: Locally recruited, candidates must have a legal right to work in Colombia without British Council support Contract: Indefinite Working hours: Classes from 07:00 to 21:30 Mon-Fri, 08:00 to 19:30 Sat, including possible mornings, evenings, and Saturdays Benefits include 15 days leave, social security coverage, and free British Council courses Additional Statements We are committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
