This is a very complex business, always changing, where any mistake can severely damage the airline reputation and business, and where all airlines have their set of specificities that we need to accommodate. We are managing the world leading airline Passenger Servicing System - a system that provides check-in and boarding services to approximately 150 airlines and 1 billion passengers each year. We're looking for enthusiastic QA Engineers to work with our developers and product analysts to ensure the quality of the solutions and fixes delivered to our customers in our Departure Control System (DCS) product of Customer Management. The role is based at our Bogota development center. You will join the team that maintains the software handling complex logic for managing baggage, ancillary services, regulatory compliance, and all processes related to flights at the core of the Amadeus DCS Customer Management application. Summary of the role: As a QA, your mission is to create detailed test plans, execute tests, and evidence the proper functionality of features and fixes. You will also report issues when they arise, always focused on providing the best travel experience to our customers. - Work autonomously within defined processes or methodologies, make standard decisions, and support the development of solutions to recurring complex problems. - Receive guidance and direction from senior roles or managers, with regular monitoring of your assignments. - Possess specialized formal education or equivalent work experience, and have the required technical and functional skills, along with basic knowledge of the business. In this role you’ll: Test strategy: Attend specification reviews, provide feedback on potential impacts, risks, issues, or missed gaps based on experience, define test strategies and plans, ensure traceability, and ensure compliance with quality guidelines. Test expertise: Design test cases, prepare test environments and data, execute tests, and provide sign-off based on exit criteria. Defect management: Log defects, assign severity, investigate issues, verify fixes, and approve production loads. Reporting: Communicate testing activities, milestones, and issues to stakeholders. Quality assurance ambassador: Show accountability for quality control of projects, products, or releases. Technicity: Use QA tools and frameworks efficiently, proactively address issues affecting QA activities. Continuous and sustainable improvement: Participate in understanding, measuring, and reducing environmental impacts of QA activities.
