The Cloud Operations Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and optimizing cloud infrastructure and services to ensure high availability, security, and performance. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) like Terraform. The engineer will also develop and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis, and perform infrastructure cost analysis and optimization (FinOps). Collaboration with architecture, development, and PMO teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions will also be a key aspect of this position. - Maintain configuration and compliance with configuration management tools. - Ensure full responsibility from infrastructure design, build, and operate standpoint. - Assure cloud operations being responsible for their operation. - Maintain and improve infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and deployment pipelines. - Collaborates with IT security, to maintain systems without vulnerabilities when possible, and react if necessary. - Work with change requests and incident monitoring system. - Is responsible for maintaining the integrity of cloud infra systems through change, and ensures systems can operate and respond effectively to fluctuating capacity demands. - Writing/ updating technical design, build, and process documentation. - Provide technical support during disaster and perform root cause analysis. - At least 4 years experience with cloud operations or similar. - Prove experience with one or more major cloud platforms. - Hands-on experience with cloud monitoring, logging, and alerting tools. - Familiarity with CI/CD tools and scripting languages. - Working knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar). - Good understanding of ITIL concepts and service management best practices. - Identifying potential project obstacles, presenting findings.
