**About Monstarlab** We are a strategic-led, design-focused, technology partner. We believe that great digital solutions are made out of stunning design and cutting-edge technology. We believe in small squads of experienced practitioners operating short, highly effective sprints. Always moving forward, adding value, and never getting stuck. Our heritage is built on a mobile-first philosophy that guides everything we do today: from mínimalist design, clean architecture, rapid development and an obsession with the customer and end-user. We provide boutique attention at scale. With offices in NYC, London, Berlin, Amsterdam, Aarhus, Prague, Dubai, Dnipro and Copenhagen. **The Role**: We are now hiring for a talented Service Designer within our Experience Team. As an exceptional practitioner in the field of service design, you will be a senior member in multi-disciplinary project teams; defining, designing and delivering world-class solutions for our globally recognized clients. You will work alongside strategists, designers, data scientists, and delivery managers, in a supportive environment where you will be able to thrive and grow. **What you’ll do every day**: - ** You’ll lead in the creation and execution of research strategies. **You will be the go-to person for research expertise on your projects and will be responsible for defining appropriate research methodologies, recruitment specifications, and discussion guides for your projects. - ** You’ll think bigger than digital products. **While many of our briefs ask us to focus on the design and delivery of a digital product or system, you will bring ‘big picture thinking’ to your project teams by focusing on the product in context. Mapping experiences and identifying opportunities across all manner of channels, systems, processes, and touchpoints will be your superpower. - ** You’ll ensure the solutions we deliver are perfectly balanced. **You’ll be particularly aware of the business context within which your project exists. You’ll lead in making sure your project team understands all aspects of the problem, ensuring that they define, develop and deliver solutions that perfectly balance user desirability and technical feasibility, with business viability. - ** You’ll expertly facilitate internal and external workshops. **A natural ‘design-thinker’, the principles of collaboration and co-creation will be second nature to you. You will design, facilitate, and analyse workshops of all shapes and sizes; with your project team, with users, and with clients. - ** You’ll work collaboratively with a wide-variety of other disciplines**. While you’ll primarily be accountable for defining problems and opportunities, you will also develop concepts and deliver solutions. These will vary in degrees of fidelity and detail, and you’ll be comfortable developing low-to-medium fidelity prototypes of products, services and experiences. - ** You’ll help raise the bar for design at Monstarlab**. You’ll support the wider sales team by identifying business opportunities, leading pitches, and generating ideas and suggestions for prospective work. - ** You’ll confidently share your own expertise and insight with senior leaders.** Presenting to clients is energizing; you thrive in leading workshops to help them achieve their business goals. You also present at conferences and meetups, as you’re an active leader in the design community. - You understand that good design is not about trends but is built on top of principles and tradeoffs. You make well-reasoned design decisions, always advocating for the best possible user experience. - You’re passionate about inclusive design and accessibility, and design with all users in mind. - You’re passionate about sharing your knowledge, and raising the bar for design practice at Monstarlab. **Requirements**: - Familiar with agile methods and terminology, and/or general software development environments. - Practical experience (minimum 3 years) in service design, strategic design, or experience strategy, or as a researcher within the field of design consultancy. - A strong passion for human-centred design and design thinking, evidenced by continued education and/or research in these fields. - Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. - Experience in product and service projects (digital and non-digital). - Experience in corporate or agency roles like: Research,UX, Strategy, Innovation, Product, Service or Strategic design. - Storytelling and storyboarding skills. - Experience in customer journey mapping. - Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
