This role plays a key part inintegrating occupational health and safety into the company'sbroader EHS strategy and is a formal member of the EHS Committee,actively contributing to decision-making and continuous improvementinitiatives. - Health & Safety Compliance - Design, implement,and monitor the Occupational Health, Safety, and EnvironmentManagement System (SG-SST), ensuring compliance with locallegislation, company policies and industry standards - Lead healthand safety audits as required within the framework of the SG-SST,managing corrective and preventive actions from these - Ensurecompliance with client-specific safety regulations, standards andrequirements - Keep regional procedures and documents related tohealth, safety, and environment up to date, ensuring compliancewith current regulations - Report on SST activities to internalteams, clients, and auditors, ensuring transparency and compliancewith established regulations - Monitor and analyze indicators fromthe Integrated Management System, in order to evaluate performanceand adjust strategies to meet safety and occupational health goalsand objectives - Ensure alignment and integration of alloccupational health, safety, and environmental activities withinthe company's broader EHS strategy. - Act as a formal member of theEHS Committee, contributing to corporate safety initiatives, policyupdates, and strategic planning - Workplace Risk Management &Training; - Establish and lead epidemiological surveillance programsto monitor employee health and well-being - Investigate and analyzeaccidents, incidents, and occupational diseases, implementingcorrective and preventive measures - Develop and implement safetyplans, protocols, and risk mitigation strategies - Conduct regulartraining sessions for employees and contractors on SG-SST policies,procedures, and best practices - Coordination & Field Oversight - Manage preventive and corrective actions derived from riskassessments and safety inspections. - Ensure field operations alignwith national regulations and project-specific contractualcommitments. - Supervise service providers defined within theSG-SST (e.g., ARL, advisors, site contractors) to ensure compliancewith occupational safety requirements - Ensure compliance of SSTactivities managed by service providers such as ARL, advisors, sitesupport contractors and other services defined within the SG-SST -Coordinate and supervise work-at-height activities, ensuring thatestablished safety regulations and protocols are followed - Overseethe preparation and management of SST documentation for fieldactivities, in coordination with PM and customers, ensuringcompliance and readiness before works commence. - Act as thedesignated SST representative on-site, supervising activities andensuring adherence to safety protocols and company standards asrequired meeting contractual guidelines Requirements - Professionaldegree in Engineering, Occupational Health, Safety, and EnvironmentAdministration, or Technologist in Occupational Health and Safety -Valid professional certification - SST License - Minimum of 5 yearsof experience coordinating SG-SST processes - At least 3 years ofexperience supervising field activities in high-voltage electricalsubstations - At least 1 year of experience in implementing SG-SSTsystems - Valid certification in Safe Work at Heights Coordination - 50-hour SST course and/or 20-hour SGSST retraining course -In-depth knowledge of SST regulations, legislation, and legalrequirements in Colombia - Strong skills in proactivity,responsiveness, interpersonal relationships, reliability,organization, collaboration, responsibility, leadership, andprofessionalism - Basic level of English - Good spelling -Intermediate Excel proficiency Benefits - Availability to travel asneeded (approximately 40% of the month) - Employees based inMedellín are required to work from the office for a minimum of 2days per week - Location: Bogotá, Medellín, Santa Marta orBarranquilla - Travel expenses: Covered by the company Senioritylevel - Seniority level Associate Employment type - Employment typeContract Job function - Job function Health Care Provider -Industries IT Services and IT Consulting Referrals increase yourchances of interviewing at Smart Wires Inc. by 2x Sign in to setjob alerts for “Health Specialist” roles.
