Job summary The Dispatch Agent is responsible for managing carrier assignments for booked vehicle shipments. This includes posting orders to load boards, negotiating transport rates, verifying carrier documentation, and ensuring seamless communication with transport providers. Responsibilities - Post assigned vehicle shipments to Central Dispatch and other load boards. - Source and negotiate with carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective transport. - Verify carrier credentials (insurance, MC authority, safety rating) before assignment. - Send dispatch confirmations and ensure all terms are acknowledged by the carrier. - Record all dispatch details and updates accurately in the CRM. - Track orders and provide timely updates on pickup and delivery progress. - Reassign shipments as needed when carriers cancel or fail to perform. - Escalate transport issues or delays to the Head of Dispatch as needed. - Maintain clear internal communication with the dispatch team. - Attend scheduled meetings and contribute to department goals. Qualifications - Prior experience in dispatching for vehicle transport or logistics is preferred. - Proficiency with Central Dispatch and similar load boards is a plus. - Familiarity with transport documentation and carrier compliance. - English Proficiency: C1 level required.
