Position Overview: The Technical Service Coordinator is a developmental role focused on maintaining the quality management system and analyzing concrete and aggregate materials. It offers exposure across various group sectors, including Dufferin Aggregates, Dufferin Concrete, Ontario Ready Mix, and CRH cement. This is a one-year contract position requiring an independent and team-oriented performer. Responsibilities: Maintain the quality management system to ensure consistent laboratory operations and meet KPIs. Coordinate with laboratory and field technicians and third-party labs to communicate quality objectives and results. Sample and test concrete and aggregate materials to meet specifications and regulations. Assist with annual CCIL recertification and MTO proficiency testing. Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment. Record all test data daily. Generate reports and analyze statistical data. Identify issues and opportunities for continuous improvement. Manage laboratory consumables and inventory. Handle invoices and SAP procurement processes. Requirements: Safety-conscious with knowledge of OH&S policies and regulations. Diploma or Degree in Civil, Geological, Material Engineering, Construction, Chemical Technology, or registered with The Ontario Association of Certified Engineering and Applied Science Technicians and Technologists. Knowledge of concrete and aggregate testing (asset). Strong communication, analytical, and decision-making skills. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management abilities. Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and work outdoors in various conditions. Proficient in MS Office. Valid G driver’s license required. Willingness to travel to plants and job sites.
