About the Role The Cyber Security Analyst is responsible for safeguarding BraveUS's systems and information assets by proactively identifying risks, managing advanced security platforms, and ensuring alignment with cybersecurity frameworks. This hands-on role includes incident detection and response, vulnerability and patch management, policy development, end-user training, and vendor coordination for external audits and testing. Key Responsibilities - Monitor, investigate, and respond to alerts and threats identified via internal systems and the external Security Operations Center (SOC). - Lead incident response activities, ensuring timely resolution and documentation of security events. - Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and prioritize remediation efforts in coordination with IT and infrastructure teams. - Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain and enforce security policies, access controls, and compliance requirements. - Support risk management and governance initiatives, including vendor assessments and updates to the DR/BCP framework. - Participate in annual penetration testing efforts and support audit preparation and remediation tracking. - Contribute to security awareness initiatives, including user training and phishing simulations. - Provide reporting and metrics to management regarding threat posture, compliance status, and ongoing risk trends. - Perform other duties related to or complementary to the position, as assigned by the employer or immediate supervisor. Qualifications Education & Experience - Bachelor's degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. - Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, security operations, or risk management roles. - Experience working in environments aligned with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and NIST SP 800-53. - Fluent in English (written and spoken) is required. Technical Tools & Platforms - Endpoint Protection: Cisco Secure Endpoint (deployment, policy tuning, threat hunting, SecureX integration). - DNS & Web Filtering: Cisco Umbrella (roaming agents, policy enforcement, identity integration). - Intrusion Detection/Prevention: Cisco Firepower IDS/IPS and Firepower Management Center. - Vulnerability & Patch Management: Qualys VMDR and Qualys Patch Management. - Email Security: Abnormal Security (AI-based phishing/BEC detection, Microsoft 365 integration). - Firewall & Remote Site Security: Meraki firewall configuration and management. - Endpoint & Patch Automation: Microsoft Intune for software deployment and update compliance. - External Threat Protection: Cloudflare for DNS and traffic-level protection. - Security Awareness & Training: Ternova for end-user cybersecurity training and reporting. - SIEM & Integrations: Familiarity with log correlation, alert forwarding, and security automation tools.
