Puente de la Costa Sur is seeking an Education Associate. The Education Associate will work closely with Puente's Education Director to enhance educational opportunities for children, youth, adults, and families on the South Coast. This role involves identifying tutoring opportunities for school-aged children (K-12), coordinating adult education teachers and instructors, and assisting with tracking program outcomes. Puente's mission is to foster wellness and prosperity in the San Mateo County South Coast communities of Pescadero, La Honda, Loma Mar, and San Gregorio by promoting and advocating for equitable access to education, health, and economic security. ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with other staff in the organization and other agencies to facilitate and deliver education programsSupport Education Director with grant data, grant reports, and grant documentationAssist high school and college students with college enrollment and financial aid resources (scholarships, FAFSA, etc. )Provide support to all education department programmingIdentify financial aid and scholarship resourcesCoordinate education programs as requiredCoordinate Youth Programs with the Education Director, including finding host sites for internships, preparing applications, promoting programs, organizing meetings, attending field trips, coordinating youth schedules and transportation, and conducting interviewsProvide information, referrals, and coordinate efforts to connect Puente students and participants to community servicesWork with Puente's staff to do outreach for education programsDocument programs and services as requiredWork evenings and weekends as neededManage multiple priorities and projects independentlyAdapt easily to new protocols and changing environmentsAttend staff meetings, retreats, and organizational events, including training and fundraisingProvide organizational support as neededDrive participants for programming or organizational needs using Puente or personal vehiclesQualificationsMinimum education of an AA degree or at least three years of relevant professional experienceExperience with the admissions process for UC/CSU and community college systemsExperience with database systemsExperience working in a hybrid environment (preferred)Knowledge of the South Coast or experience working in a rural community (preferred)Ability to work effectively as part of a culturally diverse teamAvailability to work some evenings and weekendsProficient in written English and SpanishProficient with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and TEAMSCurrent California Driver's License and ability to drive to work-related functions in the local communitiesCultural competency to work with community members from diverse backgrounds, classes, and races #J-18808-Ljbffr
