Lead Data Engineer SFO, CA (Remote until Covid) Mandatory Skills: Oracle or PostgreSQL, ETL Pipelines, Big Data, AWS Responsibilities: 1. Uses structured tools for analysis and presentation of concepts and models to enhance the BRD. 2. Develop, maintain and deliver training materials to the supply chain end-users. 3. Work collaboratively with external consultants, internal & external resources throughout the project lifecycle to ensure system modifications meet business needs. 4. Support day-to-day reporting needs where required. 5. Support production issues as related to application functionality and integrations. Qualifications: 1. Excellent spoken and written communication skills (verbal and non-verbal). 2. Proven experience in managing data warehouses and ETL pipelines (Min. 2 years). 3. Solid scripting capability for analysis and reporting (Strong PL/SQL and expert SQL) with a performance mindset as well as functionally precise. 4. Expert SQL development skills with the ability to write complex efficient queries for data integration. 5. Strong analytical skills to support BAs and ability to translate user stories / work closely with the tech team. 6. Strong problem-solving skills (Math skills required for data modeling). 7. Ability to work as a back-end developer (PL/SQL). 8. Ability to manage and complete multiple tasks within tight deadlines. 9. Possess expert level understanding of software development practices and project life cycles. 10. Working experience with Java, cloud-native technologies. 11. Must have: Working experience in dealing with big data and data manipulation. 12. Highly Desired: Familiarity with Oracle retail data structures (Retail Management System / Retail Planning Application System). 13. Desired: Familiarity with DevOps practices like CICD pipeline. 14.
