What you will be doing at Evalueserve The Design Engineer will design and produce high-quality, detailed manufacturing drawings and assembly details across various industries with focus on ensuring the highest standards of engineering and design requirements to meet our clients' specific needs. The role collaborates with the engineering, drafting, and estimating teams to solve design challenges and ensure projects are delivered efficiently and accurately. This position involves both office work and occasional site visits in the US to assess and address engineering concerns. Key Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned): - Designing and analyzing metal buildings and structures for commercial and residential applications. - Creating and reviewing detailed manufacturing drawings, assembly details, and specifications using AutoCAD and related design software. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, drafting, and estimating) to develop design solutions and ensure accuracy. - Investigating and resolving design and engineering issues on-site as needed, ensuring designs meet client requirements and regulatory standards. - Providing technical support to the sales and project management teams, advising on the feasibility of design proposals. - Coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure designs are properly implemented. - Maintaining clear documentation and records of design iterations, approvals, and changes. - Conducting quality audits to ensure that projects adhere to company and industry standards. What we're looking for - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. - 3+ years of experience in metal building design or pre-engineered metal buildings. - Experience with MBS (Metal Building Systems) and/or SAP2000 software. - Strong knowledge of building codes, construction standards, and regulatory requirements. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and within a team environment. - Willingness and ability to travel internationally, occasionally to job sites for site inspections and design assessments.
