Job Duties Under direct supervision, provides on-site supervision of the Measurement-While-Drilling (MWD) process, including tool preparations, data acquisition, log generation, Quality Control (QC), and service delivery to the customer. Serves as a secondary team member in a subordinate role. Ensures all data presented to the customer is accurate, timely, and of the highest quality. Provides technical consultation to clients on mud hydraulics, Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA) planning, formation evaluation, drilling tendencies, mud system, and BHA dynamics. Tests all tools and equipment before, during, and after each job. Identifies and corrects operational issues to minimize service impact. Completes all required documentation accurately, including service vouchers, equipment reports, surveys, and databases. Ensures BHA assembly complies with planned specifications, including torque and handling. Coordinates with the Directional Driller to ensure BHA compatibility and correct tool face references. Participates in performance improvement initiatives. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; field experience in MWD preferred. Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline is preferred. Completion of basic M/LWD training and passing company tests or meeting task guidelines. Technical aptitude, good communication, arithmetic, and data recording skills. Ability to interpret well logs and well site data. Relevant safety certifications for onshore and offshore work. This is a field position. Halliburton is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
