Job Title: Purchasing Specialist We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Specialist to join our international Procurement team based in Medellin, Colombia. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and executing purchases of equipment or services requested by internal customers. This role requires strong analytical and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain accurate records of procurement data and documentation in accordance with established procedures; - Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders from established contracts and suppliers; - Execute fast-paced purchasing activities, including last-minute purchases from local stores; - Monitor lead times and manage communication with suppliers and internal customers to ensure timely delivery; - Assist in resolving warranty claims, returns, and other issues related to supplier performance; - Stay up-to-date with duty, VAT, and other taxes and charges applicable in countries where the company operates. Requirements: - At least 1 year of experience in procurement, preferably in purchasing equipment and services; - Familiarity with facilities and technology management; - Strong awareness of procurement processes and systems; - Secondary education or higher; - Excellent organizational and time-management skills; - Sufficient interpersonal and teamwork abilities; - Good communication skills; - English language proficiency at B2 level; - High sense of responsibility and integrity; - Knowledge of MS Excel and experience working with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics Nav).
