Title and Summary Specialist, Legal Services Overview: The GBSC (Global Business Services Center) is a multi-functional shared services organization within MasterCard. The GBSC team is predominantly co-located in a collaborative working environment in the heart of the MasterCard Technology Operations headquartered in St. Louis, MO. Select regional hubs exist to provide additional scale and agility. The Specialist, Legal Services, works within the broader GBSC Legal Services team and has shared accountability for delivering positive customer experiences and efficient business results. Reporting to the Director, GBSC CORE & IP, this position will be responsible for handling a variety of progressively complex legal support functions. - Do you want to be part of a dynamic and agile team environment? - Are you motivated to drive business transformation on a global scale? Role: - Support assigned attorneys by handling various legal and administrative tasks, including file management and document handling - Interact with business clients, legal teams and other parties to gather information and provide updates on open matters - Compile raw data and create presentations to be presented at an executive level - Create and maintain pipeline of projects, manage components of larger projects - Identify opportunities for process improvements All About You: - Associates or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent paralegal work experience - Confidence to question processes, reach out to attorneys for late deliverables, look for opportunities and advocate for solutions that make sense for Mastercard - Work effectively across functions to get a resolution and maintain customer satisfaction - Ability to manage tasks of varying priority and complexity - Demonstrated initiative in understanding how to identify resources and tools for day-to-day work - Advanced knowledge in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular) - Excellent customer service skills - Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work - Attention to detail and problem-solving skills - Excellent written and verbal English communication skills - Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task - Must be available: 7 a.m. CST - 4 p.m. CST Corporate Security Responsibility All activities involving access to Mastercard assets, information, and networks comes with an inherent risk to the organization and, therefore, it is expected that every person working for, or on behalf of, Mastercard is responsible for information security and must: - Abide by Mastercard’s security policies and practices;- Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed;- Report any suspected information security violation or breach, and- Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard’s guidelines.
