Job Description: We are seeking a seasoned software engineer to join our team as a backend development lead. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable and efficient backend systems. About the Role: - Work with a software engineering team performing application updates and analyzing the impact on performance, stability, and changes needed for business requirements. - Produce high-quality code. - Communicate with engineering management. - Align with existing development teams. - Validate, monitor, and ingest to ensure high-quality and well-managed data pipelines. Mandatory Skills and Qualifications: - 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development in data and feature engineering applications, including design, implementation, debugging, monitoring, and support. - Strong proficiency in backend tech stacks such as Python, Java, among others. - Experience with databases: MySQL or Postgres. - Familiarity with AWS services. - Expertise in designing and implementing microservices architecture. - Solid understanding of backend fundamentals, including APIs, data storage, and distributed systems. - Experience in building data platforms and tools that enable actionable insights and drive business decisions. - Proven ability to own and deliver end-to-end solutions, including troubleshooting and optimization. - Experience with GitLab.
