Job Description This position plays a vital role in ensuring seamless shipment management within their assigned country. The specialist will engage proactively with customers to enhance the experience and serve as a bridge between customers and the DHL network. - Respond to customer inquiries regarding shipment status, tracking, documentation requirements, transit times, and prices through phone calls and emails. - Maintain knowledge of ocean operations covering shipment creation, tracking, and delivery at destination. - Enhance service experience by exercising professionalism and empathy when dealing with individual customer needs. - Effectively communicate with colleagues, prioritizing urgency on behalf of the customer. - Meet commitments to customers in terms of follow-up and ongoing communication. - Coordinate and resolve exceptions with operations teams and update the customer accordingly. - Handle customer requests for quotations and forward them to the Quotations team for processing; pass leads to Sales. - Record and resolve customer complaints or assign tasks to other functions. - Be well-versed in freight forwarding terms and ways to connect locally to offer solutions to end customers. Required Skills and Qualifications Professionals in industrial engineering, international business, or related fields are required. A minimum of 1 year experience in Freight Forwarding is necessary. Excellent verbal and written communication skills & business skills in English and Spanish are essential. Customer service and communication skills are also required. Teamwork and autonomy are valued.
