About the role: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to provide advanced financial analysis and strategic guidance to support key business operations and decision-making. This role is integral in driving financial performance, preparing budgets, generating detailed financial reports, assessing financial ratios, and evaluating capital investment opportunities. The Senior Financial Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to ensure financial objectives are achieved, and that the company’s financial health is consistently maintained. Responsibilities: Budgeting : Lead the creation and management of departmental and organizational budgets. Ensure all budgetary planning aligns with overall business goals and corporate objectives. Continuously monitor performance against budgets and suggest corrective actions where necessary. Financial Reporting : Generate regular financial reports for leadership, providing insights on budget adherence, key financial metrics, and performance indicators. Highlight areas of concern or opportunity and provide data-driven recommendations to support decision-making. Financial Ratios : Calculate, interpret, and analyze key financial ratios, including liquidity, profitability, and efficiency measures. Evaluate financial health and performance, providing recommendations to improve operational efficiency and profitability. Capital Investments : Assess capital investment opportunities by conducting detailed financial analysis, including ROI, NPV, and IRR. Provide leadership with clear recommendations on financial feasibility and potential returns of investment opportunities. Forecasting & Projections : Assist in the creation of financial forecasts and projections, contributing to long-term financial planning. Identify risks and opportunities in financial projections, helping to ensure that the company’s financial strategy is aligned with its operational goals. Process Improvement : Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting and budgeting accuracy, timeliness, and transparency. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with other teams, such as operations, marketing, and IT, to ensure budgets align with business activities, and provide support for strategic initiatives. Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, or related field. A master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) is preferred. Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, financial reporting, and capital investment analysis. Experience managing the finances of a company with more than one business unit. Communication Skills: Ability to clearly present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders and senior leadership. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Technical Knowledge: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions and financial modeling), financial software, and ERP systems. Experience with financial reporting tools and analysis software is a plus. Computer Skills: Advanced Excel and other financial analysis and reporting software. financial planning systems.
