The Senior Cloud Engineer's mission: We are searching for a talented Senior Cloud Engineer who will play a vital and collaborative role in architecting, building, and maintaining highly scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure for our fast-growing fintech startup. The expected outcome: - Design and implement scalable and reliable cloud architectures by collaborating with cross-functional teams for our banking core. - Streamline application deployment through automated pipelines, reducing manual effort and enabling faster releases. - Proactively monitor and resolve infrastructure issues to minimize downtime and ensure high system availability. - Achieve adoption of new architectures for our financial systems and conclude successful codebases and databases migrations. - Implement security best practices and optimize cloud costs for a secure and cost-effective environment. - Taking full responsibility: To take complete ownership of your actions and hold yourself accountable to the highest standards. - Achieve a deep understanding of the key performance indicators relevant to your area of responsibility, as well as a deep understanding of financial concepts. - Manage relationships and projects with third-party consultancy agencies to achieve successful architecture redesigns and migrations. The day to day tasks: - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design scalable and highly available cloud architectures. - Define the walkthrough and toolsets for all engineering teams; as well as the way they need to incorporate them into their day-to-day activities. - Implementing and managing cloud infrastructure resources (virtual machines, storage, networking, security groups). - Maintaining automated deployment pipelines (Github actions, AWS CodePipeline). - Monitoring and optimizing cloud infrastructure performance. - Setting up monitoring and alerting systems for proactive issue detection. - Troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure-related issues. - Maintaining infrastructure provisioning and management with IaC tools (Pulumi, AWS CloudFormation). - Conducting security audits and implementing best practices for cloud resource protection. - Assisting development teams with application deployment and configuration in the cloud. - Monitoring cloud costs (FinOps) and optimizing resource usage. - Documenting infrastructure configurations, deployment processes, and troubleshooting guides. Why YOU should apply: - +5 years of experience working with infrastructure. - Advanced knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Experience with IaC methodologies and tools like Pulumi or Terraform. - Strong understanding of networking concepts in cloud environments. - Proficiency in scripting languages such as PHP, Python, Bash. - Experience in deploying and managing web servers like Apache or Nginx in the cloud. - Experience working with and building production-ready REST APIs. - Intermediate to advanced experience in optimizing and building scalable web services. - Knowledge of monitoring systems like Grafana, or DataDog. - Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker. - Strong knowledge of version control systems like Git (GitHub). - Strong knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments. - Strong knowledge well architecture framework y cloud governance.
