JOB SUMMARY The Benefits Administrator provides day-to-day support of the group benefits programs (health, dental, vision, STD/LTD, life insurance, FSA/HSA, and 401k). This role is the Tier 2 contact for employee benefit questions, maintains the employee benefits portal, manages all vendor invoicing and all administrative duties necessary to insure compliance with applicable federal and state laws. The Benefits Administrator will be primarily accountable for administering benefit plans/programs for multiple sites in the country or region. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Supports the management of corporate benefits programs for employees. - Provides support on benefits issues for expatriate personnel who are enrolled in Aetna Global Benefits. - Investigates and resolves escalated benefit issues brought to the benefits team from our Tier 1 contact, Health Advocate. - Maintains group benefits database and prepares regular benefits reports through extraction from the database. - Monitors benefit change requests, submitted through the benefits portal, within established time frame and issues appropriate approvals/denials. Contacts employees to request any required documentation. - Coordinates processing of employee benefits files from vendors and uploading to payroll system. - Oversees the processing of monthly vendor billing and preparation of invoices for submission to AP for payment. - Processing of QMSCO documents. - Presents benefit information during new hire orientation. - Supports compliance of all governmental regulations related to employee benefits. - Stays current on changing Federal and State regulations and legislation that may affect employee benefits. - Documents and maintains administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes. - Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy. - Responsible for portal communication updates and general benefit communication projects - May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. JOB QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS - Basic knowledge of United States regulations and policies pertaining to employee benefits including, but not limited to, IRS laws and regulations, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA and ACA. - Excellent customer service and presentation skills.
