We are looking for a highly skilled software engineer to join our team as an IT Specialist. The role involves improving the global corporate platforms that support operations management of health and employee benefits policies across various industries in Latin America. As an IT Specialist, you will work collaboratively with a talented regional team and subject matter experts to adapt software platforms to solve country and client-specific scenarios. You will be responsible for designing, building, and improving software components to obtain operational efficiencies and provide an overall better user experience for users located in Medellin and other parts of Latin America. Our ideal candidate has programming knowledge, follows best practices, and has a comprehensive software life cycle discipline. They should be able to wear multiple hats from requirements through testing and deployment. Key responsibilities include working with teams of varying roles, possessing excellent interpersonal and communication skills, valuing expertise and passion for the craft of software engineering, recognizing and staying up-to-date on current technologies, practices, and tools. - Program software logic primarily using .NET - Work with country business experts and operations teams on eliciting and refining regional and local requirements - Work and communicate effectively in a team environment - Create technical and user documentation on the configured and rolled-out applications - Provide training to users as part of roll-out activities Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, 2+ years of experience working in a developer role, embedded testing practices, good communication skills, experience with OOP and software design patterns and practices, ability to organize, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously with excellent attention to detail and follow-through. A strong analytical and creative mindset, self-starter attitude, flexibility, and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues are also essential. Additionally, proficiency in English is required.
