Location: Salvatech - Colombia Remote Environment: Colombian and International Teams Language: English – Advanced Full-time / Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm EST Salary: Negotiable Role Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented WordPress Frontend Developer who specializes in building custom WordPress themes using page builders like Elementor and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF). The ideal candidate has strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and jQuery, and is comfortable converting Figma or PSD designs into fully responsive and accessible WordPress websites. You’ll work closely with designers, QA teams, and project managers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation, performance optimization, and adherence to accessibility standards. Responsibilities: Convert Figma/PSD/XD designs into responsive, pixel-perfect WordPress websites using ACF, Elementor, and other page builders. Build and maintain custom WordPress themes (no use of pre-built templates). Write clean, modular, well-documented code (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery). Ensure cross-browser and mobile compatibility across modern devices. Optimize websites for performance (lazy loading, asset minification, caching, Core Web Vitals). Implement SEO best practices and ensure WCAG/ADA accessibility compliance. Troubleshoot and resolve frontend-related issues in a timely manner. Work with Git and deployment pipelines. Communicate blockers, risks, and delays proactively to the project team. Qualifications: 4+ years of professional experience in WordPress theme development with a frontend focus Experience developing at least 30 full WordPress websites from scratch Proficiency in: HTML5, CSS3, responsive design principles, jQuery, vanilla JavaScript, and PHP (specific to WordPress theme development) Experience with: ACF (including flexible content and repeater fields), Elementor or similar page builders, WP_Query, WordPress template hierarchy, custom post types, and taxonomies Ability to translate Figma/PSD designs into clean, functional WordPress frontends Experience working with Git workflows and version control Understanding of performance optimization and basic SEO principles Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines Nice to Have: Experience with WooCommerce customizations. Familiarity with Gutenberg and custom block development. Understanding of accessibility (ADA, WCAG compliance). Exposure to white-label or agency environments. Experience using AI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot. KPIs (Success Metrics) Code quality and peer review feedback. On-time delivery and sprint velocity. Bug count and QA feedback loops. Reusability and documentation of components/modules. Contribution to process improvements or automation tools.
