Job Description The University of Missouri (MU) seeks applications and nominations for outstanding faculty candidates with a focus on Nuclear Engineering and Energy , Quantum Computing , and Materials Science and Engineering . This recruitment is part of MizzouForward, the university's strategic initiative to achieve research excellence and student success. Successful candidates will have competitive, externally funded research programs in these areas or related fields, especially those contributing to Energy and Sustainability. Positions are available across all departments within the College of Engineering, with possibilities for joint appointments. Incoming faculty will build on existing strengths including nuclear science, energy, nuclear-engineered materials, and collaborations with facilities like the MU Research Reactor (MURR), Materials Science and Engineering Institute (MSEI), and others. Opportunities for collaboration include the UM System's NextGen Precision Health initiative. MU offers excellent core facilities such as the MU Research Reactor, advanced imaging and microscopy centers, high-power computing environments, and clean rooms. Additional resources include the Gehrke Proteomics Center, Metabolomics Center, and Genomics Technology Core. Minimum Qualification Earned terminal degree in engineering Evaluation Criteria Track record of external research funding, especially from federal agencies Research accomplishments, publication record, citations National awards, honors, and memberships in national academies Interdisciplinary research orientation Please note that applications are currently not being reviewed for this area.
