What You'll Do As a Senior IT Architect, you will collaborate with case team members to assess and coach client IT teams, define IT strategies, and develop architecture solutions. You will own the delivery of specific project modules, develop technical concepts, and mentor other team members, leading work streams when possible. You will work on various technology topics, applying your architectural expertise to strategic questions. You will receive extensive training, including the same program as all BCG consultants, plus technology-specific training and mentorship to enhance your skills. What You'll Bring Experience: 6-8+ years in cloud architecture, cloud strategy, technical project management, or technology consulting with proven experience leading IT implementation projects. Technical Skills: Designing and implementing cloud architectures, including requirements gathering, architecture design, high availability, and disaster recovery scenarios. Knowledge of regulatory compliance, cloud lock-in avoidance, and multi-cloud designs. Experience with infrastructure automation, scalability, cloud component sizing (DevOps, Serverless), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Familiarity with major Cloud Service Provider (CSP) portfolios and XaaS services. Desirable Expertise: Understanding of regulations and standards such as DORA, GDPR, NIS2, and data sovereignty strategies. Experience developing and enforcing cloud governance policies for cost management (FinOps), security compliance, and resource optimization. Proficiency in implementing cloud security strategies, including continuous monitoring and threat detection tools. Interpersonal & Leadership Skills: Analytical Mindset: Ability to evaluate complex IT ecosystems and recommend optimizations. Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for engaging with technical and business stakeholders. Leadership: Experience guiding development teams and collaborating across departments to align with business goals. Industry Experience: Proven experience in sectors such as Banking, Insurance, Energy, Telecommunications, or Retail, delivering tailored IT solutions for sector-specific needs.
