**Careers that Change Lives **A Day in the Life Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. - Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepares internal and external financial reports. - Maintains or oversees the control of accounts and records in such areas as disbursements, expenses, tax payments and income. - Compiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy. - Prepares balance sheet, profit and loss and cash flow statements, prepares and consolidates financial statements, and other accounting schedules and reports. - Designs, modifies, installs, and/or maintains accounting systems to ensure an adequate recognition of financial transactions. - Responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures and internal controls. - May be responsible for month end close. - May be responsible for technical support and accounting of M&A; activities. - May oversee technical accounting research for complex business transactions and implementation of new accounting standards. **Must Have: Minimum Requirements** - Bachelor degree required in financial, administrative areas or related. - 2 or more years of relevant experience Employee Expenses, corporate credit services, control of accounts and records and related. - Fluent in communication in English and Spanish (writing & speaking) - Experience in financial closings. - Excellent communication skills. - Advanced knowledge of Excel and Office tools. - Strong quantitative analytical skills. - High level of teamwork. - High level of proactivity. **Nice to Have** - Desirable Data Analytics Skills. - Strong quantitative analytical skills. - SAP knowledge. - Ability to work in a team environment to accomplish group objectives. - Ability to respond to questions from Medtronic internal customers on capital expense requirement. - Preferably in a large, multi-national organization. **About Medtronic** Together, we can change healthcare worldwide.
