One of the co-founders is also a recognized thought leader in tax strategy, with a large online following, a weekly newsletter, and an upcoming book project. Together, the company and its founders are building a strong external presence, and they are seeking a marketing professional to help accelerate this growth. Role Overview We’re looking for a Senior Content & Marketing Specialist to own and drive external marketing content across both the company’s brand and the co-founder’s personal brand. This includes managing social media accounts, creating long- and short-form content, supporting newsletter and blog production, and helping grow visibility on new platforms like TikTok and YouTube. The right candidate will be a seasoned self-starter (5–7 years of experience) who not only produces technically accurate, creative, and engaging content with minimal oversight, but also has the personality and trend-awareness to make the brand feel modern, approachable, and “cool.” Note: This role requires alignment with U.S. Central Time to ensure effective collaboration and timely publishing. What You’ll Be Doing Social Media: Manage and grow social accounts across LinkedIn, Twitter/X, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and other platforms as needed (for both the company and the co-founder). Content Creation: Write and publish blogs, newsletters, LinkedIn posts, Twitter threads, and thought-leadership pieces on tax/bookkeeping topics. Thought Leadership Support: Assist with the co-founder’s newsletter, online content, and book project. Video Content: Draft scripts for TikTok/YouTube/Instagram Reels and webinars; basic video editing a plus. Repurposing: Convert long-form content into short, engaging posts and visuals. AI Tools: Use AI platforms (including a custom in-house assistant) for first drafts, research, and repurposing. Execution: Consistently deliver ~5+ high-quality content pieces per week. Approvals: Proactively secure sign-offs from leadership to avoid delays and ensure KPIs are met. What We’re Looking For Experience: 5–7 years in content creation, copywriting, or social media marketing. Background: Experience in financial services, tax, or accounting preferred, but strong writing portfolio can substitute. Skills & Personality: Excellent writing/editing; ability to simplify technical tax/finance content. Proven ability to grow and manage social media accounts (LinkedIn & Twitter/X required; TikTok/YouTube/Instagram strongly valued). Trend-savvy and creative — understands how to adapt content to different platforms, leverage trends, and make professional content engaging. Confident and tenacious — not afraid to chase leadership for feedback and approvals. Independent, organized, and proactive; thrives without handholding. Familiar with CMS (HubSpot/Webflow), social scheduling tools, and basic video editing. Bonus: Experience ghostwriting, producing newsletters, or supporting book/thought-leadership projects.
