Hiring Department The University of Missouri School of Missouri Center for Child Well-Being within the Department of Psychiatry. Job Description The Center for Child Well-Being within the Department of Psychiatry in the School of Medicine seeks a Senior Staff Nurse for our team. This position requires an RN or LPN. The ideal candidate is interested in an innovative career aimed at increasing the well-being of children involved in child welfare, foster care, and other related child systems across Missouri. This is a unique nursing opportunity that involves daily collaboration with an interdisciplinary team including a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, Clinical Psychologist, Pediatrician, and Psychiatric Pharmacist. The program addresses physical and mental health issues and collaborates with the Missouri Department of Social Services, Children's Division. A nurse with psychiatric patient care experience is preferred but not required. The ability to engage and build relationships over the phone is essential. Limited travel is expected. Key Responsibilities Identify and obtain information needed by Center staff to assess child's specific services and issues. Enter data into RedCap, review, revise, and update child case information. Provide information to Department of Social Services (DSS) staff and contractors regarding a child's issues/needs via in person, phone, WebEx, or telehealth. Document consultations and services provided. Maintain knowledge of Missouri's child welfare and mental health systems. Identify and report trends and issues to MO-Child Director. Shift Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. No flexibility for alternative schedules. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience with at least 2 years of related experience. Licensure as required. Preferred Qualifications Credentials: LPN or RN. Experience in behavioral or mental health care preferred. Psychiatric patient care experience is a plus but not necessary. Knowledge of RedCap or database management is advantageous but not required. Anticipated Hiring Range $25.00 - $36.00 per hour, Grade: GGS-010, Title: STAFF NURSE SR.
