We are always strengthening our financial crime team and we are now seeking an expert to join us as a Complex Crime Investigator. Using your financial Crime knowledge and expertise you will be conducting investigations into complex cases and supporting the fight against financial crime. **The difference you will make.** Supporting the bank in meeting its business, legal, regulatory and stakeholder obligations in respect of Financial Crime Compliance. Including identifying, deterring, detecting and disrupting money laundering, sanctions non-compliance, terrorist financing, bribery, corruption and tax evasion risks that arise by way of its activities. Engaging with other business areas and external agencies to collate the information required to understand activity and make appropriate decisions, including accurately disclosing suspicious activity to the National Crime Agency or to case stakeholders, or providing clear and concise rationale where no suspicion has been found. **What you will bring.** We are looking for people who can help shape, influence and transform the bank’s capabilities, ensuring we continue to disrupt financial crimes, and support and enable the right outcomes for our customers _. _ - In depth knowledge and understanding of all aspects of financial crime investigation, including knowledge of money laundering and terrorist financing typologies. - A detailed working knowledge of the regulatory framework of UK financial services, the political and economic environment. **It would also be nice for you to have.** - Good knowledge and understanding of regulatory framework of UK financial services, industry trends and best practice - Good knowledge and understanding of corporate structures, sanctions, bribery and corruption and tax. - Ability to analyse and evaluate complex issues and sound judgement in determining appropriate actions/solutions. - Proven track record of working within a similar complex investigations/crime environment, ideally qualified with/or willing to work towards, a relevant professional qualification suitable for the role **What our people say.** Financial Crime has a devastating impact on our communities through its association to illegal drugs, human trafficking and terrorism. This is a permanent position located in our Milton Keynes office, we are operating on a hybrid model which includes working from home.
