It’s an exciting time to join us - we are shaping the future of mining through digital and automated technologies, embracing new ways of thinking, pioneering innovation and reimagining the way we work. **About the role**: This role is accountable for: - Leading Orica’s Business Conduct program in the combined Americas regions, including ensuring that all issues or incidents that may constitute a breach of the Code of Business Conduct (Code) in these regions are appropriately recorded, analyzed, and investigated. - Supporting the Manager, Business Conduct in managing compliance with legal and policy frameworks for whistleblower management and protection; and in monitoring and reporting on the efficiency and effectiveness of the Business Conduct program to relevant internal stakeholders. - Supporting the Manager, Ethics & Compliance Americas in the implementation, management, and ongoing monitoring of a framework to maintain compliance with key regulatory requirements on trade sanctions and anti-bribery/corruption. **What you will be doing**: The key accountabilities for this role include: 1) BUSINESS CONDUCT - You will support the Manager, Business Conduct in ensuring that Orica’s investigations framework is consistent with applicable laws, regulations, and better practice in respect of whistleblower management and protection. - You will lead the triage process for concerns, allegations and incidents that are raised in the Americas regions via Orica’s “Speak-Up” line, and any other allegations, concerns, or incidents that are reported to you. - You will ensure that all allegations, concerns, or incidents from the Americas regions that are reported to the Speak Up line or separately to you are adequately and timely reviewed in accordance with the Group Procedure Code of Business Conduct: Reporting & Investigations, and that the requisite action is taken within the set or reasonable time frame. - You will communicate effectively and in a timely manner with reporters and internal stakeholders on relevant issues. - You will support the internal stakeholders who undertake the investigations. - You will develop and manage relationships with outsourced providers that provide Orica with investigations support. - You will support the Manager, Business Conduct in maintaining an appropriate monitoring regime and produce ongoing reporting on the efficiency and effectiveness of the Business Conduct program for relevant stakeholders, including the Board and Business Conduct Committee. - You will support the Manager, Business Conduct in ensuring that all relevant stakeholders, including the Business Conduct Committee, are appropriately engaged in relation to any developments in Orica’s business conduct practices and themes. 2) ETHICS & COMPLIANCE - You will support the Manager, Ethics & Compliance Americas in: - Identifying and managing corruption and trade sanctions risks across the Americas regions - Focusing on continually enhancing the compliance culture across the Americas regions - Managing the approval and notification steps under the Ethics & Compliance program for ethics and compliance matters in the Americas regions - Partnering with the business and other functional teams (e.g.: Legal, Finance, and Audit) to pro-actively identify and resolve ethics and compliance risks and challenges in the Americas regions - Delivering, tracking, and reporting on employee training programs related to ethics and compliance across the Americas regions - Monitoring and reporting on new and relevant ethics and compliance developments across the Americas regions - Conducting and assisting in investigations into ethics and compliance issues across the Americas regions. - Supporting the Manager, Ethics & Compliance EMEA in reviewing and actioning sanctions screening blocks in the SAP GTS system **What you will bring**: 1) Relevant tertiary qualification in law, finance or other relevant degree 2) Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience with a first tier employer 3) Previous experience in managing code of conduct matters. whistleblower activities or investigations desired 4) Previous experience with anti-corruption and/or trade sanctions compliance desired 5) Experience in working across multiple countries with high corruption risk profiles desired **Role dimensions**: Regional remit for the management of the Business Conduct program in the Americas regions Regional remit for supporting the Manager, Ethics & Compliance Americas in the management of the Ethics and Compliance program in the Americas regions Regional remit for supporting the Manager, Ethics & Complianc
