Hiring Department Dean of Engineering Job Description This position is a support role designed to assist the associate deans in the College of Engineering. Responsibilities include monitoring the associate dean's calendar, preparing documents, coordinating meetings and activities, assisting with special events, and greeting visitors in the student services area. The role requires problem-solving skills, independence, judgment, and initiative to support team objectives effectively. Primary Responsibilities include: Scheduling: Manage the associate dean's schedule to enhance team effectiveness through planning and coordination. Events, Meetings, and Agendas: Support the associate deans in organizing meetings and events. Correspondence: Manage and proofread correspondence, reports, and documents. Office and Workload Management: Ensure smooth office operations, solve problems proactively, and improve work processes. Student and Guest Relations: Facilitate inquiries and requests from students and visitors, directing them appropriately. Shift Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. This position requires reliable, onsite attendance. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience plus at least 3 years of relevant experience.
