**Position: Import Export Assistant** **Import Export Assistant Responsibilities** - Manage the import and export process by coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other relevant parties to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods. - Prepare and review shipping and customs documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bill of lading, and customs declarations. - Coordinate with the logistics team to arrange transportation and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues or delays. - Ensure compliance with import-export laws and regulations by staying updated on changes in customs requirements and assisting with customs clearance procedures. - Assist in the preparation of import and export documentation for audits and compliance checks. - Maintain accurate records of import and export transactions, including invoices, shipping documents, and customs declarations. - Collaborate with sales and purchasing teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods to customers and suppliers. - Coordinate with finance and accounting departments to ensure accurate and timely payment of import duties, taxes, and freight charges. - Assist in managing inventory levels by monitoring stock levels, coordinating with suppliers for timely deliveries, and resolving any discrepancies. - Support the Operations Manager in analyzing market trends, identifying potential suppliers or customers, and developing strategies to expand international trade opportunities. **Import Export Assistant Required Skills** - Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing and reviewing documentation. - Proficient in using import-export software (we will Train), Google Workspace, as well as Microsoft Office Suite. - Knowledge of US customs regulations, import-export laws, and international shipping procedures. **Must**: - effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with various stakeholders. - Ability to work independently and in a team environment to meet tight deadlines. - Analytical mindset to identify and resolve problems or inefficiencies in import-export operations. - Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure. **Required Qualifications** - Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. - Proven experience in import-export operations, logistics, or a relevant role. - Knowledge of country of origin customs regulations and experience with customs clearance procedures. - Familiarity with international trade documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin. must - Proficiency in using import-export software and tools, such as customs brokerage systems and trade compliance software. Strong understanding of INCO terms, shipping terms, and international trade terms. - Fluency in multiple languages is a plus, especially if working with international suppliers or customers. - Membership in relevant professional organizations or associations, such as the International Association of Importers and Exporters (IAIE), is preferred preferred - Experience with international logistics at least 6 months **(MUST)** **Work Schedule**: The position requires coverage from **Monday to Friday**, with shifts from **8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. EST M-F** **ON SITE POSITION in Barranquilla, Bogotá, Medellín, Bucaramanga, Cali y Armenia
