We collaborate with leading coffee traders to implement sustainability projects within the supply chain. Role As Head of Operations at Cotierra, you will lead our Colombian extensionist team to scale and manage our farm network. You will work closely with leading traders to onboard, support, and monitor farmers in biochar production and application, ensuring adherence to the correct protocols. As the link between the founders and the realities on the ground, you will work closely with them to build a strong bridge between strategic vision and day-to-day operations, ensuring alignment and effective execution. Responsibilities Lead team of Cotierra extensionists across multiple regions directly reporting to you Manage collaboration with external staff of partnering traders across multiple regions Manage collaboration with external agronomic researchers to realize agronomic studies Manage collaboration with engineering team to realize technology trials Interact with company founders to shape company strategy and blueprints for operations Own operations goals to scale farmer network and implement biochar practices on farms Coordinate work plans and weekly activities such as farm visits based on goals Ensure proper documentation of farm database, executed activities and related information Ensure reporting of project activities to stakeholders and successful audits for certification Design, establish and supervise internal processes to ensure efficient qualitative execution Requirements Passion to create a positive impact for people and the planet Eager to work in a flexible and fast changing environment Goal-oriented and self-organizing with great collaboration skills Strong leadership and project management skills 2+ years experience in leading a team of extensionists 2+ years experience working with farmers as extensionist 2+ years experience in the coffee sector Fluent Spanish and basic English skills, Portuguese is a plus Preferably bachelor or master degree in agronomy or similar Preferably experience in management of sustainability topics and projects Preferably strong network in coffee value chain and potentially other crops Location Colombia, hybrid (willingness to travel to main coffee regions across the country) Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Management and Manufacturing #J-18808-Ljbffr
