Bachelor’s degree or higher; - 7+ years of a mix of sales, business development, channel development, distribution, marketing or program/product management experience targeting SMB customers. - 5+ years selling technology, preferably cloud, hosted and managed services in technology industry - Business level proficiency in English Job summary The SMB Distribution sales specialist will be responsible for establishing strategies and execution of initiatives though the Distribution Channel and their resellers to increase adoption of Amazon Web Services in the rapidly growing SMB market. This includes but is not restricted to developing relevant partner and customer offers, plays, and points of entries as well as customer and partner programs. These initiatives will enable partners to accelerate SMBs journey to the cloud. The scope of the role includes defining the go-to-market in this space by identifying the market opportunity and current partner and customer challenges, curation of existing initiatives across Amazon, building relevant offers to be deployed through the Distribution channels to SMBs. In this role, you will be working on challenging problems that need creative solutions. You should be comfortable building process and challenging assumptions. These projects need to be delivered while cultivating a high degree of ownership in the resolution of market and operational issues. You must have strong written and verbal communications skills, as well as an entrepreneurial spirit, the ability to influence others and dive deep, and a passion for technology. This role requires the development of relationships with a wide group of stakeholders across the organization. - Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to turn detailed data analysis into useful strategic insight in order to drive customer adoption and make appropriate recommendations to the business. - Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations is key. - Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as leadership skills. - Experience with SMB customers. - Experience with Distribution Channels. - Experience with cloud computing and or related fields (IT, software, etc). - MBA or equivalent relevant business experience.
