Position Overview: The Information System Security Officer will support the implementation and maintenance of information assurance protocols. You will collaborate on developing, coordinating, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies. Key Responsibilities: Maintain operational security posture for information systems, ensuring policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed. Manage security aspects of information systems and perform daily security operations. Evaluate security solutions to meet requirements for processing classified information. Conduct vulnerability and risk assessments to support certification and accreditation. Manage configuration of security software, hardware, and firmware. Assess security impacts of system changes. Prepare and review documentation such as SSPs, Risk Assessment Reports, C&A packages, and SRTMs. Assist in security authorization activities in line with NISCAP and DoD RMF frameworks. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field with 12+ years of experience, or equivalent technical degree. At least 7+ years supporting DoD programs and contracts of similar scope and complexity. Certifications: DoD 8570 compliance with IAM Level II or IAT Level III (e.g., CASP, CISSP, or Associate). Additional Requirements: Active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph. Salary Range: $155,000 - $210,000.
