Your Growth You will be based in our Santiago officeas part of our Operations team. Our Operations practice assists ourclients in solving complex operational challenges, blendingstrategic thinking with hands-on practicality. Our teams ofconsultants and experts work to develop and implement operationalstrategies that solve our clients' most critical problems. YourImpact You will play an active role in problem solving for clientsincluding identifying issues, forming hypotheses, designing andconducting analyses, and synthesizing conclusions intorecommendations. As part of our two-year Operations ExcellenceProgram (OEP), you will work on client engagements in the same wayas any other McKinsey consultant. You will gain leading edgeoperations and consulting skills, primarily through on-the-jobcoaching which will be complemented by the OEP’s structuredcapability-building program. During your first few years with thefirm, you will serve as a junior practice specialist on multipleclient engagements and work with a number of colleagues and clientsin a range of industry and operations service lines. You willacquire the necessary knowledge and expertise to help companiesachieve excellence in their operations. Along with other members ofthe OEP community, you will dedicate many days to functionaltraining and knowledge development under the leadership of ouroperations experts. You will follow a curriculum based onoperations excellence themes and will receive advanced training inspecific areas of operations. Additionally, you will engage withour clients to create new strategies across a wide platform ofprojects, from automation to mine optimization to predictivemaintenance and more. You will not only expand our currentanalytics capabilities but will help architect new strategies andapplications within a dynamic innovative organization. Uponcompletion of the program, successful consultants will join ourglobal group of leading experts in operational excellence. Wealready have OEP graduates working at all levels of the firm, fromassociate to partner. Your qualifications and skills - Bachelor'sdegree ideally in engineering, computer science or applied math;master's or other advanced degree preferred - Experience withmanufacturing/supply chain in basic materials (e.g., metals &mining;, pulp & paper), oil & gas industries or consumergoods companies - Proven record leading lean/Six Sigma projectsacross the manufacturing/supply chain area - Experience withreliability, maintenance and/or condition monitoring; experiencewith process control and control systems is a plus - Experience inapplication of advanced manufacturing/ supply chain technologyincluding digital and big data (e.g., Smart Factory, IoT, Industry4.0 automation/robotics in world-class production facilities) is aplus - Proven record in defining and/or implementing digitalstrategies across all stages of the value chain is a plus -Programming experience with R, Python or related platform is a plus - Proficiency in one or more of the following: predictive analytics(maintenance, production, environmental conditions), optimization,mine planning tools & software, simulations, automation is aplus - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment at alllevels in an organization - Strong communication skills, especiallyaround breaking down complex structures into digestible andrelevant points for a diverse set of clients and colleagues -Skills to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally andwritten, in English and Spanish - Comfortable with extensive travel#J-18808-Ljbffr Consulting
