You will lead and guide our teams through a variety of tasks that push our Lookup services forward. As a member of this team, you are going to be responsible for helping shape our next-generation of products, driving the implementation of solutions that will provide our customers with the tools to improve their users' onboarding experience. **Responsibilities**: In this role, you'll: - Lead and strengthen teams of passionate engineers. Define, document, and promote standards and practices for engineers to follow to help them efficiently create high quality authentication services. - Create a team culture through emotional intelligence and promotion of Twilio's values where engineers are able to do their best work. Enable your team to focus on the most important initiatives. - Set the bar for a highly scalable multi-factor authentication platform through a clear vision and fast execution. Help Twilio re-invent authentication for customers thrown into an age of heightened uncertainty combined with increased privacy requirements and more sophisticated attack vectors. - Make ascertained prioritization decisions taking into account guidance from multiple partners while championing the scalability and reliability of our services. Collaborate on roadmaps with Product Managers, Architects and other business partners to ensure the team has clear direction and priorities. - Incorporate the voices from peers, your team and your customers to ensure the best solutions are the ones that are prioritized. **Qualifications**: **Required**: - 7+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of experience and education - 3+ years of shown experience in an engineering management role - Demonstrated experience leading inclusive teams, mentoring junior engineers, and teaching proven practices that help teams grow. - Hands on manager with the ability and knowledge to review code and hel his team if needed - Communication skills that demonstrate emotional intelligence and compassion to build trust, resolve conflicts, and provide feedback to your team. - Strong product and architectural vision and a demonstrated ability to collaborate, communicate, advocate, and complete that vision. - Ability to supervise the design and operation of sophisticated components and large-scale systems - Success at participating in multi-functional teams; naturally collaborative but decisive when needed - Track record in building and sustaining high-performance teams - Ability to manage projects, teams, and schedules in a rapid-growth environment, to coordinate successful/timely releases and achieve quality objectives - Strong influential and persuasion skills to manage Right vs Right Now engineering decisions - Excellent written and oral communication skills enabling you to articulate sophisticated, technical material to a non-technical audience - Ability to lead through change effectively **Desired**: - Experience working with or building communication platforms, understanding how telcos work. **Location** This position will be located in Colombia, either in our Bogota office or remote. **What We Offer**: There are many benefits to working at Twilio, including, in addition to competitive pay, things like generous time-off, ample parental and wellness leave, healthcare, a retirement savings program, and much more.
