Position Description This position is primarily responsible for providing strategy, direction, and oversight for all inventory management across North America, with specific focus on Inventory Management, Warehousing, Stock Balancing, Strategic Sparing, Transit Coordination, Distribution, and Logistics Systems. This strategic leader will drive structured, consistent, and disciplined operational practices to ensure stable product delivery aligned with company initiatives and expectations. **Responsibilities**: - Provide leadership to the Logistics teams and assist them with the development of their direct reports. - Lead and motivate the Logistics teams to meet service and financial objectives. - P&L; Ownership for the cost and management of all Logistics related efforts - Effectively implement and manage equipment logistics methods and best practices: safe storage, efficient transfer and accurate inventory levels. - Develop and maintain strategic and stable supply chains to support the business through effective supplier management. - Participate in the planning and support of new product introductions by effective coordination of support group efforts in a single site or across multiple facilities. - Interface with internal and external customers and the public in line with Zayo values. - Represents function on all major inter-company information systems projects, working in a collaborative fashion with internal departments; focus on maximized customer service levels, and minimized inventory and obsolescence through effective planning, distribution systems and processes. - Own material supply management and implement strategies to maximize supply levels and health stock designs while mitigating supply risks. - Implement warehouse management programs and initiatives to ensure safety, product flow, inventory management systems, optimization and technology solutions. - Participate in the development of accurate and healthy inventory systems and procedures for warehousing and consignment inventories. - Build effective work relationships with business leaders within and outside the organization to identify needs and drive systemic change to achieve strategic objectives. - Improve strategic distribution methods to improve service at a lower cost of goods. - Support & participate in Corporate Sustainability initiatives around freight and overall supply chain. - Drives compliance with new and existing policies for inventory management. - Provides direction for the development of policies, analytical tools and for the identification of inventory trends and opportunities. **Qualifications**: - Bachelor's degree in business, safety, or related technical discipline and/or equivalent work experience, required. - Extensive leadership experience required. - 10 years telecommunications, engineering, or regulated industry-related experience preferred - 5 years Material Management experience - The individual will manage an organization of 25 warehouse personnel and leaders. - The position will require outstanding critical thinking and decision-making process, the anticipation of risky business situations with deliberate and swift response to the same. - The position will require some travel and access/availability to serve the needs of the business on a 24/7 basis. - The individual must possess outstanding written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills as they interface with subordinates, peers, customers, and vendors.
