We are seeking an exceptional Program Associate tosupport the portfolio of our job training and placement programs:Java, Unity and IT Support Specialist. Under these programs, wewill be launching multiple cohorts across Colombia, seeking tosupport people in employment opportunities. About Generation AtGeneration, we believe in the power of employment to change lives. We are a global nonprofit organization that supports adults toachieve economic mobility through employment. Generation trains andplaces adult learners of all ages into careers that are otherwiseinaccessible, working in partnership with governments, employers,and other system actors. We also conduct original research andshare data insights on high-priority global workforce transitiontopics to inform decision-making by workforce system stakeholders. Launched in 2015, Generation comprises a global hub (Generation YouEmployed, or GYE) and a network of in-country affiliates. To date,the network has 115,000+ graduates and 11,000+ employers across 46professions and 17 countries. When learners join Generation, 91%are unemployed, of which nearly half are long-term unemployed. Three months after completing our program, graduates have a 78% jobplacement rate, rising to 88% within six months. Of our employedgraduates, 68% are hired by repeat employers who have previouslyhired Generation graduates, and 89% are in jobs directly related tothe profession for which we have trained them. Employed graduatesimmediately earn an average of 3-4X their previous earnings. Two tofive years after graduation, 77% of our alumni from upper-middleincome countries continue to meet their daily financial needs and63% can save for the future. To date, Generation’s global graduateshave earned more than $1 billion in wages. Generation graduatestypically have a secondary school background, 54% are female, 34%have dependents, and the majority identify with underrepresentedcommunities in their country. About the role: Job type: Paidfull-time (40 hours per week) Job duration: This is a contract rolewith a 9-month term (March 2025 to December 2025), with thepossibility to extend based on confirmed funding and performance. Location requirements: Remote (with access to strong WiFi), basedin Colombia. Start date: March 2025 What you’ll do: We are seekingan exceptional Program Associate to support Generation Colombia'sjob training and placement programs. You will be responsible formanaging program logistics and operations. Your efforts willcontribute to changing the lives of unemployed and underemployedindividuals seeking economic stability and mobility. The role'smain responsibility will be to lead program coordination andimplementation for all programs in Colombia (Unity, Java, ITSS). This role could provide additional support to placement processesfor all programs. The Program Associate will report directly to Generation’s Colombia Program & Ops Lead, and will work inclose collaboration with country staff, the Global Program DeliverySupport and Marketing teams, instructors, partners, and otherglobal Generation staff. Responsibilities: Reporting daily to the Program & Ops Lead, the Program Associate will support theorganization and management of all Generation Colombia cohorts,including schedule creation and management, communications andactivity planning. Specifically, you will: 1. Serve as the primarypoint of contact for the learners. 2. Prepare for and conductevents for learner onboarding (“day 0”), ensuring learner readinessand program commitment for “day 1”. 3. Manage day-to-day programdelivery, operations, schedule, and deliverables. 4. Troubleshootchallenges and implement risk mitigation approaches. 5. Liaise with Generation team members to support program operations andtroubleshoot issues. 6. Manage stipend process (laptops, cameras,economic support) for learners. 7. Monitor and troubleshootoutcomes, create interim reports and make recommendations foroperational improvements. 8. Oversee mentorship processimplementation and apply strategies to reduce dropout rates, boostlearner graduation and placement rates. 9. Participate in weeklycalls to troubleshoot learners outcomes and plan for extra supportif needed. 10. Manage day-to-day and post-program requirements fordata collection. 11. Support the coordination of complementaryformative workshops given by allied companies. 12. Createstrategies to meet cohort outcomes, working closely with LearnerSupport Services to determine the max levels of risk that eachcohort can support, and determine individual learners’ programreadiness and risk factors by analyzing data. Additionally, as partof placement support you might: 1. Support BD & Partnershipsteam (BD) around employability efforts. 2. Support communicationswith partner employers and learners to ensure each graduate isplaced in high-quality opportunities. 3. Support events planningand other activities with employers to highlight student profiles. About you: 1. At least 3 years of experience in programcoordination, preferably in a nonprofit, start-up, or socialenterprise environment. 2. Strong communication skills. Demonstrated fluency with Spanish and English speaking and writingskills. 3. Experience developing program procedures and resources,with keen attention to detail. 4. Experience managing teams,project managing tasks, and coordinating stakeholders. 5. Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset to deliver against targetsand seek opportunities for improvement and growth. 6. Results-driven and able to quantify success by developingmetrics/analytics. 7. Ability to operate independently while alsobeing a team player. 8. Belief in Generation’s mission, preferablywith experience working with disadvantaged communities. 9. Demonstrated commitment to equity and social impact work. 10. Thecandidate should be open to traveling to Generation sites as perthe needs of the program.
