General Summary of Position Interacts directly with Client providers and leadership to ensure optimization of revenue cycle operations and reimbursement. Acts as the face of MedStar Physician Billing Services (MPBS) to all internal customers. Serves as the primary link between MPBS leadership and operational functions, as well as MedStar Health clinical practices. Assists clients at all organizational levels to understand revenue cycle analytics, and helps develop solutions based on analytic reviews. Provides tailored attention and specific billing operations management to practices, building trust with practice leaders by ensuring optimal operation performance. Supports process updates and enhancements to maintain client focus, accurate communication, and regulatory compliance. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Communicates with and alerts VP and AVPs about new issues, questions, and seeks advice or intervention when appropriate. Ensures thorough research and prompt resolution of issues and concerns raised by MPBS Leadership and/or Client leaders. Exemplifies Guest and Associate Relations standards in service, resource utilization, quality outcomes, and communication; holds associates accountable for standards compliance. Identifies and reports processing and revenue cycle issues, as well as MPBS management and team performance, through regular meetings with clinical leaders and MPBS liaison teams. Identifies process improvement opportunities and mobilizes support from MPBS and non-MPBS resources to implement solutions. Maintains relationships with clinical and administrative leaders, with meetings scheduled monthly or as needed. Monitors departmental accounts receivable trends by reviewing KPIs such as GCR, NCR, rejection rates, charge lag, and days outstanding. Participates in educational and professional development activities. Provides guidance to client leaders on all aspects of the physician practice revenue cycle, including coding, billing, and regulatory policies. Supervises Revenue Cycle Liaisons, providing guidance, feedback, and coaching; manages corrective actions to address discrepancies and performance issues. Contributes to departmental goals, adheres to policies, and ensures compliance with standards and regulations. Minimum Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in health or business administration required. Master's degree preferred. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience considered. Experience At least 7 years of senior leadership experience in professional services revenue cycle management. Advanced training and experience in professional billing processes, with comprehensive understanding of revenue cycle operations, including practice management and billing functions. Supervisory experience with multiple team members and reporting skills required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Expertise in professional billing information systems (IDX preferred); ability to develop and advise on analytics and reports to improve revenue cycle performance. Strong verbal and written communication skills. This position offers a hiring range of $93,142 - $175,968. #J-18808-Ljbffr
