The OfferFlexible working optionsOpportunity to make a positive impactOpportunity within a company with a solid track record of performanceThe JobRole Overview:As the Accounting & HR Associate at TubeScience, you will report to the Assistant Controller and work closely with the accounting and HR teams to support day-to-day accounting operations and HR administrative processes for our fast-growing, tech-enabled service business.We are seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven Accounting & HR Associate to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering the accounts payable processes, contractor onboarding validation and payment administration, backup the G/L accountant, and providing general HR operations including employee/contractor onboarding and offboarding. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a compliance-focused mindset to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of accounting and HR processes.Reporting to the Controller with dotted line support to HR and Benefits management.Key Responsibilities:Accounts Payable Management:Process accounts payable invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely vendor paymentsValidate invoices against purchase orders or contracts for terms compliance in processing paymentsManage AP inboxes and coordinate with external invoice processing teamsMonitor AP aging statements and reconciliationResolve payable issues with managers and vendors promptlyMaintain accurate vendor records and documentationOther general ledger, credit card and moth end close G/L and AP processing support as needed.Payroll & Contractor Management:Manage independent contractor documentation to ensure completeness and accuracyProcess contractor payments through Wrapbook and other platformsValidate paperwork for timely contractor paymentsSupport payroll change validations for accuracyMaintain compliance with contractor classification requirementsProcess contractor payments across multiple systems - Ramp, Wrapbook, Rippling, Paypal, and production management systems.HR / Contractor Operations Support:Facilitate employee and contractor onboarding/offboarding processes in Rippling, Wrapbook and other payment systemsEnsure all required documentation is collected and properly filedAssist with HR compliance documentation and record-keepingSupport HR with administrative tasks during peak periodsHelp maintain employee and contractor records for audit purposesSupport end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes for employees and contractorsCoordinate with IT, accounting / Finance, and other departments to provide seamless transitionsMaintain and update onboarding/offboarding checklists and proceduresMonitor and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulationsMaintain up-to-date knowledge of HR compliance requirements for remote/global workforce with HR/People team.The ProfileQualifications:Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or related field3-5 years of experience in accounts payable, payroll processing, HR operations and or G/L accountingWorking knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principlesExperience with payroll systems (Rippling, Wrapbook, or similar platforms)Familiarity with accounts payable software and processes, including Ramp and QuickbooksUnderstanding of HR onboarding/offboarding processes / documentation requirementsFamiliarity and working knowledge of California employment and contractor compliance management, ideal.Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skillsExcel/Google Sheets proficient.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentRequirements:Ability to work Los Angeles working hours with a minimum of 6 hours overlap during 7am - 7pm Pacific time zoneAccess to reliable power and high-speed internetStrong written and verbal communication skills in EnglishThe EmployerOur client is one of the fastest growing startups in Los Angeles, Our client is revolutionizing the way in which companies approach successful video advertising.
