Position Summary The Latam Digital Lending and Risk ManagementDirector reports to the Regional Program Manager, with a dottedline to the Vice President of Advanced Analytics and Risk. Thisposition will be responsible for designing credit risk products,rolling out credit performance analytics, and developing decisiontools based on advanced machine learning and artificialintelligence in the Latin America region. The role will createinnovative frameworks and tools that facilitate partnershipsbetween Financial Service Providers (FSP)s and digital platforms,Fintechs, and alternative data providers, thereby promoting theadoption and scaling of digital financial products. As the RegionalLead Advanced Analytics and Risk (AAR), this position willrepresent AAR for Latam within the global context. Some keyresponsibilities include guiding the creation and implementation ofdigital strategies and product definition, leading innovationdiscussions for project teams, collaborating with other regionalleads and cross-functional teams to define and develop AARroadmaps, overseeing the application and adoption of frameworks,tools and techniques both internally and project teams, ensuring Advisory Standards of Excellence are met. The ideal candidate willhave proven expertise in data analytics and risk management,leveraging MSE-focused digital credit and embedded finance, with abackground working across a diverse range of models, includinge-commerce, fast-moving consumer goods, the gig economy, and supplychain management. PositionResponsibilities Advanced Analytics & Risk - Design andimplement cutting-edge strategies utilizing Machine Learning andAI-assisted risk management and decision tools, enhancing bothtraditional and alternative data-based decision-making processes. -Develop comprehensive risk management standards and credit policiesthat guide businesses through all phases of the digital creditcycle, from product definition to collections. - Lead the creationof segmentation tools that assess profitability and risk, enablingthe development of targeted solutions for prospects and customersto drive engagement and growth. - Partner with financial entitiesto evaluate portfolio indicators, offering insights and tools forrisk mitigation to Senior Management, ensuring robust and informeddecision making. - Direct the implementation of risk andprofitability models, forging strategic partnerships with Fintechs,platforms, and data providers to support Credit & MarketingActivities to enhance account growth, customer acquisition, andportfolio profitability. - Empower partners with state-of-the-arttools to manage delinquencies and minimize credit related losses. Guide collection efforts through informed proactive collectionstrategies. Project Management - Lead the project from the proposalstage through execution in collaboration with partners, ensuringsuccessful alignment with the partner executive teams and their Boards. - Engage with senior managers of partner organizations tocreate and shape business strategies and subsequent projectinitiatives, fostering a culture of innovation and growth. - Buildand maintain cross-functional stakeholders through proactivecommunication and advocacy driving buy-in and commitment to aunified transformation vision. - Create robust frameworks andguidelines for platforms using embedded finance, leveragingbusiness and technology strategies to achieve desired end states. -Ensure project changes are effectively integrated into thebusiness, owned by the business, and facilitated through effectivepartner interactions between teams, leveraging IT resources. -Prepare status reports and disseminate project outcomes, sharinginsights and tools, challenges, and possible risks, and overallprogram health. Advanced Analytics and Risk Regional Lead - Effectively representand communicate the value of the team’s Advanced Analytics and RiskManagement service offering and how it can be integrated into Accion’s advisory solutions for client FSPs. - Contribute to theoverall strategy and operations of Accion Advisory by providinginsights on trends, areas for growth, and market positioning in Advanced Analytics and Risk Management. - Building Accion’scapacity by documenting and sharing project results anddisseminating practical information and tools through variousknowledge exchange mediums such as brown bags, teammeetings/debriefs, workshops, blogging, webinars, etc. -Collaborate with the product development practice area and providerisk guidance and ensure best risk management practices for marketaccess strategies, adoption strategies, and consumer - andclient-centered design integration. - Serve as a subject matterexpert in digital credit and product development and embeddedfinance for FSP and platform players. Position Qualifications - 12+years of experience in management consulting, holding a leadershiprole, or a related field. - Experience in MSE-focused technologybusinesses and/or Fintech; a financial services background isrequired. - MBA or Master's in relevant area, or BA with equivalentexperience. - Proven expertise in Statistical Modeling, credit riskmodeling and analysis, Data Mining, and Finance. - Knowledge ofportfolio risk and management within the financial industry.
