Company: Marsh Description: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Compensation Specialist to reinforce our Compensation Center of Expertise (COE) The Senior Compensation Specialist works closely with the BCS Compensation Leader and BCS People Partners to deliver compensation advisory services and solutions that meet business needs, leveraging enterprise compensation frameworks. You will be part of the Marsh McLennan Compensation Center of Expertise (COE), reporting to the BCS Compensation Leader and be located in our Colombia or Mexico City offices. The Compensation COE collaborates with other teams in our People function to provide strategy, design, and subject matter expertise on broad-based compensation, incentives, reward insights, and regulatory requirements, ensuring alignment between people and business strategies. This role can be based either in Bogotá, Colombia or Mexico City, Mexico. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. What is in it for you? Act as a subject matter expert for Business and Client Services (BCS) by providing rewards advisory to client groups, including People Partners, HR Managers, and other BCS leaders and stakeholders. Consult with People Partners, People Strategy, Finance, and other COEs to understand and diagnose strategic compensation priorities. Define reward requirements, and ensure appropriate partnership, engagement, and alignment in delivering solutions. Focus areas include compensation program delivery, annual pay reviews & associated budgets/pools, compensation program effectiveness, business initiatives (e.g. M&A;, group consolidations), variable compensation plan design, salary structure management and reviews and market benchmarking Partner with Finance teams to assist with forecasting and annual budget modeling Participate in enterprise-wide compensation initiatives and projects by contributing through cross-functional collaboration, change management, and continuous improvement to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of Marsh McLennan’s reward programs and processes. Provide insights and market intelligence on the competitive landscape, trends, and practices Apply a consultative skill set to compensation-related themes, transforming complex topics into an integrated narrative that aligns with Marsh McLennan’s purpose and commitments. What you need to have: Bachelor’s degree. At least 5 years of strong and relevant professional experience within Rewards: In compensation or related HR role. Experienced in working in a matrix structure preferable in multinational organizations Outstanding communication skills in English. Intellectually curious, seeking opportunities to develop new skills for themselves and others. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data sets. Passion for delivering excellence through working in partnership with others, including cross-function and cross-geography teams. Discipline to work both individually as well as collaboratively across a team Advanced proficiency with Excel, including the ability to work with complex formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization. Project management skills, including documenting project scope, objectives, desired outcomes as well as setting and managing stakeholder expectations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse and global stakeholders globally. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a high level of adaptability to different cultural contexts. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data related to compensation plans.
