Relative Dynamics Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer and you will r esearch, design, evaluate mechanical products, equipment, and systems to meet operational end use requirements applying knowledge of engineering and design principles. What You'll Get to Do: Research, designs, evaluates mechanical products, equipment, and systems to meet operational end use requirements applying knowledge of engineering and design principles. Works with other engineering and technical staff to design and develop electro-mechanical devices, components, and structures. Solves technical design problems, performs system design analysis, and formulates plans, designs, cost estimates and system specifications. Develops structural and mechanical design of products using drafting tools and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) systems. Performs structural and mechanical analysis of subcomponents and overall system. Conducts research that tests and analyzes the feasibility, design, operation and performance of equipment, components and overall systems. What You'll Need: Required Skills Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering field. Candidates should have 8+ years of experience performing mechanical design on electronic systems. In lieu of formal education, 16 years directly related engineering or applied science work experience. Must have Secret clearance and be willing to process for higher-level clearance. Existing full clearance with poly is highly desired. Additional Qualifications/Skills/Abilities: Electronics packaging experience Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) systems Must be able to multitask interacting with other members of the technical staff, supporting components research and selection, component engineering, engineering analyses and documentation, and design reviews. The mechanical engineer must understand the overall engineering process, from design kick-off to production; and must be capable of interacting with the various disciplines involved in production of an electronic product. Experience managing data & life cycle changes in Autodesk Vault. Strong verbal and written communication skills Positive attitude and desire to work in a team environment solving challenging problems.
