Responsibilities: - Manage and support existing Splunk and similar hardware infrastructure, including onboarding, configuration, and optimization. - Deploy, configure, and operate Splunk instances, troubleshooting issues as they arise. - Develop advanced reports and dashboards to meet organizational needs. - Support network inquiries and incident response. - Deep experience with Splunk (dashboards, alerts, queries, parsing). - Knowledge of Splunk engineering best practices (Splunk Certified Admin or equivalent). - Experience with product installation, integration, support, and environment management. - Strong understanding of log management and data correlation. - Optional: scripting and security knowledge. Level 3 System Engineer Capabilities: - Analyze requirements, create system architectures, and develop specifications. - Lead design, development, and integration activities. - Guide users, advise on approaches, and conduct feasibility studies. - Incorporate new systems into ongoing operations. - Maintain technical documentation and develop system architecture. - Guide system development, testing, and implementation planning. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in relevant field; 5 years of additional experience may substitute. - 20+ years of experience in similar programs within the Federal Government. Certifications: - Security+ Active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph is required.
