We are hiring remotely across various regions within Colombia. **Role Summary** We are looking for a Principal Engineer to join our Core Platform team, reporting into our Director of Engineering. In this role, you will work within our Commure OS team to help shape the future of how our customers use the Commure platform, understanding their needs, and working with our Cloud, Product and Security teams to develop new products and use cases for the future. You will also be a key member of the Core Platform team responsible for enhancing the development experience of our software engineers, and committing to high availability and resiliency across our platform products. **Responsibilities** - Deliver on company goals while working collaboratively and autonomously with internal and external stakeholders. - Help us recruit and interview future members of our engineering team - Work with other principal engineers to determine best practices and frameworks to augment team efficiency and through - Provide mentorship and advice to engineers throughout the company **Requirements**: - Expert level proficiency in one or more prominent languages, such as NodeJS, Go, Java, C++ - An expertise in building and architecting large scale, distributed systems - Experience designing, building, and operating SaaS-based enterprise software solutions - Experience developing highly available, scalable and low latency API's with GraphQL, GRPC and Rest - Experience in one or more public cloud provider - Experience with Kubernetes - Excellent communication skills in written and verbal forms, with an ability to communicate complex topics to a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders - Experience in security - Bachelors, Masters, in Computer science **What you'll bring to the team to help us expand our collective talents** - Be a constant learner and a great problem solver, keeping users in mind - Be adaptive and flexible to hot swap between priorities - Be a model for others to grow in their careers - Be a great team player to help us expand our engineering culture - Passion for CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices to increase delivery velocity **Benefits Include** - Flexible Time Off - Extended parental leave - Family Prepaid Medical Insurance - Internet Connectivity Allowance Employees will act in accordance with the organization's information security policies, to include but not limited to protecting assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference nor execute particular security processes or activities.
