The goal is to enhance effectiveness in quality and meet regulatory and accreditation standards. The HSE Engineer's responsibilities include defining HSE standards for all systems, ensuring compliance, and promoting quality and performance improvements across the organization. Job Details Position Title: HSE Engineer Department: QM/HSE Reporting To: QHSE Manager LATAM Location: Bogota, Colombia Area of Responsibility: Latin America Responsibilities Ensure full compliance with PIPECARE HSE requirements. Maintain a focus on quality improvement and aim for first-time right execution. Protect confidentiality and safeguard trade secrets. Support and respect colleagues at all times. Adapt positively to organizational and technical changes. Uphold PIPECARE's reputation through professional conduct. Be results-oriented and communicate potential issues promptly. Follow process flow charts and collaborate with other departments. Provide timely and accurate reports. Identify training needs for staff. Key Responsibilities & Authorities Define HSE policies and strategies for top management approval. Set standards for health, safety, and environment. Define competencies for HSE team members. Oversee HSE performance at corporate and site levels. Promote personnel development in HSE. Approve procedures and documents related to HSE. Design and implement HSE activities. Recommend resource budgets. Train personnel, including internal auditors. Implement applicable HSE standards. Address non-conformities with the quality team. Monitor internal audit performance. Conduct HSE audits and develop HSE plans. Perform additional tasks as assigned. Competency Requirements Effective communication and conflict management skills. Clear and persuasive oral and written communication. High integrity and respect for diversity. Ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively. Strong administrative and reporting skills. Skills/Experience Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electro Mechanical, Electrical). At least 3 years of HSE experience in the Oil & Gas industry. Current occupational health and safety license. International exposure is preferred. Accountability Develop and review HSE standards and procedures. Share best practices across teams. Collaborate to improve practices and procedures. Physical and Mental Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Mobility to access various environments, including elevated platforms. Effective communication skills. Focus, multitasking, and safety equipment compliance. Personal mobility for office and travel duties.
