If you are a smart, ambitious and dynamic sustainability professional with a strong passion to make a real difference in the fight against climate change, the below position may be right for you! **Job summary**: As part of the Project Development and Implementation (PDI) team, you will focus on performing economic and financial analyses to assess the feasibility of NBS projects. In addition, you will support the financial and risk monitoring of NBS projects around the world. This involves the running of budgets, financial models, risk models, sensitivity analysis and high-level reporting to improve the decision-making process. In addition, you will support the project tracking process by completing the Financial Operating Plan (FOP) and achieving indicators of budget management and progress on planned activities. During your work at South Pole, you will have the opportunity to participate in training, workshops, and team meetings with colleagues worldwide. **Main tasks & responsibilities**: - Support different financial analyses to determine the economic viability of potential NBS projects around the world - Run the Financial Assessment Tool for the proposals requested - Run the Risk Assessment Matrix (RAM) of the proposals that are requested - Fill out the Financial Operating Plan (FOP) of the projects requested - Support the creation of templates for the generation of high-level reports - Participate as a collaborator in projects led by the PDI team globally - Participate in all meetings to which will be invited **Requirements**: Essential - Be in the last two semesters of undergraduate studies in economics and be authorized by the university to carry out academic internships - The capacity to solve relatively complex project-related problems independently and receive general direction on new assignments or projects - Excel and R proficiency - Ability to create high-quality written documents (proposals and deliverables) in Spanish and English - Have excellent communication skills, especially verbal and written skills in Spanish and English - Ability to manage targets and priorities and develop own goals Desirable - Strong statistical skills - Strong accountability skills **What we offer**: At South Pole, we care about our employees as much as we care about the planet.
