**JD: HR Manager / Talent Acquisition & People Operations Lead (REMOTE)** Position Summary We are seeking an experienced, hands-on HR Manager / Talent Acquisition & People Operations Lead to oversee all human resources functions for Green Attic and EcoBuildPlus. This individual will be responsible for recruiting and hiring trade and office staff, onboarding new employees, developing and implementing an HR manual, ensuring compliance with labor laws, managing employee records and benefits administration, resolving employee disputes, and supporting company culture. This is a critical leadership role in a fast-paced, growing construction environment. - Key Responsibilities Talent Acquisition - Own the full-cycle recruiting process for both trade staff (installers, technicians, etc.) and office/admin staff - Conduct screening interviews and coordinate hiring manager interviews Onboarding - Design and implement an effective onboarding program ensuring smooth integration of new hires - Facilitate initial employee orientation, required documentation, and safety training coordination Policy & Compliance - Develop and maintain an HR policy manual and employee handbook for both companies - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (including OSHA requirements) - Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files Employee Relations & Performance Management - Serve as the primary contact for all HR-related inquiries - Manage employee disputes and conflict resolution processes - Support managers with performance reviews, improvement plans, and corrective actions Benefits Administration - Coordinate employee benefits programs (health insurance, PTO, etc.) - Answer employee questions related to benefits and compensation Culture & Engagement - Promote positive employee morale, retention, and engagement initiatives - Develop internal communications and support leadership with employee recognition efforts **Requirements**: - Minimum 5+ years of generalist HR experience, ideally in construction, trades, or a similar field - Demonstrated experience hiring field and administrative personnel - Working knowledge of HR compliance and employment laws - Experience creating or updating HR manuals and policies - Strong communication, organizational, and conflict resolution skills - Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities - Bilingual (English/Spanish) To support productivity and maintain transparency within our remote team, we use **Hubstaff** as a time-tracking and activity management tool.
