Candidates must relocate to Saudi Arabia. Overview We are seeking a Linear Programming Engineer to join the Central Planning & Modeling Division. The division is responsible for optimizing crude allocation and the operations of global manufacturing facilities to maximize revenue, increase profitability, and capture international market opportunities. It also acts as the LP gatekeeper for refineries and maintains an integrated global planning model for optimizing crude allocation, exploring new markets, and integration options. Your primary role involves consulting on complex engineering and LP problems, reviewing existing simulations, updating shift vectors for sub-models in PIMS, ensuring simulation accuracy, conducting LP back-casting, and recommending improvements. You will also have the opportunity to develop a grassroots refinery simulation, mentor junior engineers, and provide specialized technical services. Key Responsibilities Run rigorous simulations to identify deviations from actual conditions. Operate the refinery model post-SROP optimization to identify operational opportunities. Define data and process requirements for maintaining simulations. Develop non-linear equations to reflect operational variables in PIMS AO model. Maintain accuracy of the hybrid LP model. Collaborate with process engineers to ensure accurate simulation outputs and address bottlenecks. Perform back-casting and report on simulation gaps and mitigations monthly. Support stakeholders in creating models for new downstream projects. Assist ASSAY experts in calibrating TBP and cut points to reflect column efficiency. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. At least 9 years of experience in consulting or refinery industries, with expertise in rigorous simulation of refinery units. 7+ years of experience with Aspen HYSYS or PETROSIM modeling. Experience developing simulations for hydrocracking, FCC, DHT, reforming units, and complete refinery models. Strong knowledge of engineering practices, economic principles, and calculation methods. Experience with integration between simulation models and ASPEN PIMS. Additional Details Senior level: Mid-Senior Employment type: Full-time Industry: Oil and Gas #J-18808-Ljbffr
