China Three Gorges Latam , world leading renewable energy company, is seeking a Contract Engineer to join the Colombia team. The responsibility of this role is to support the management of the contracts related to the development, construction, and operation of renewable energy projects ensuring that these are aligned with project goals and objectives, comply with legal and regulatory requirements, and mitigate risks associated with contract terms and conditions. This position coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to resolve contractual disputes and disagreements, and monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, including milestones, deadlines, and quality standards. Specific Duties Preparation to Execute Contract: Understand and review all contractual terms and conditions, scope of work, payment schedule, project milestones/critical path, and contract administration requirements. Develop and implement procurement and logistics plans. Ensure that all necessary contract management and administration procedures are in place. Work with project managers to facilitate company decisions and communicate relevant notices within designated timeframes. Ensure compliance with document review and approval protocols prior to making commitments. Monitor project progress and delivery timeliness. Ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of contracts, including monitoring all payments and obligations. Collaborate with legal department or legal advisors to ensure contract terms comply with legal requirements and company policies. Manage the contract lifecycle, including initiation, analysis, negotiation, monitoring, modification, renewal, and termination. Act as the main contact for customers and suppliers regarding contractual matters. Preparation and review of communications to the Client. Identification of additional values to the contract and formalization of exchange controls anda Change Order. Identify and monitor the risks of the contract quantitatively and qualitatively in each of its stages. Contracts Management, Administration and Performance Monitoring: Manage day-to-day contract execution, compliance, and performance. Ensure efficient management and analysis of contracts to maximize financial and operational performance and minimize risks. Identify key performance parameters for each contract and monitor progress against them. Coordinate and participate in regular meetings to monitor contractor performance and address any issues that may arise. Manage the administration of post-award matters, including contract utilization, changes, amendments, claims, extensions, and renewals. Document any deviations, changes, or amendments that may arise during contract implementation to facilitate the handling of potential claims. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal protocols. Prepare and submit all required reports on time. Manage Projects documentation in collaboration whit Contractors and update timely the Projects VDR. Contractor Management and Performance: Manage contractors to ensure delivery of all contractual obligations, including risk management and performance monitoring. Ensure that subcontracting arrangements are supported by written subcontracts and that subcontractors have the necessary competencies and resources to perform their work safely. Ensure that all relevant internal functions are aware of contractual requirements. Monitor and track work commitments against contract price and project budget. Review and process variation requests and assist with formalizing variations. Review contractor payments against work progress claims and project milestones. Respond to inquiries and resolve problems related to contracts. Manage the resolution of any disputes that may arise with contractors. Ensure timely performance of all activities associated with contractual close-out. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Industrial and Civil Engineering General experience greater than or equal to 3 years in energy projects (Oil & Gas, Electrical, Power, etc.) in management, and control of scope, time and cost in the different construction stages of the projects under the PMI methodology Proficient in Microsoft Office and Office package, contract management software (ERP). 1 years experience in contract management of renewable energy project English Level B2 Availability to work Fully On - Site (Bogota Office) #J-18808-Ljbffr
