You will work closely with our ML & Operations teams to build products, features & external integrations that automate, speed up & enhance the quality of the bookkeeping process. Occasionally, you might also work on client code or participate in UI/UX design processes. If this aligns with your skills, we would love to talk to you! Responsibilities: Design and develop RESTful web services and integrate with 3rd-party APIs Collaborate with product teams and end users to understand interactions and build scalable solutions to improve workflows and user experience Architect large-scale features within existing platforms Influence product features, architecture, and strategic direction Participate actively in code reviews Lead and mentor junior/mid-level engineers and maintain code standards Qualifications: 5+ years of software engineering experience 5+ years of experience with distributed systems/microservices architecture Expertise with NoSQL databases, specifically MongoDB Experience building and fine-tuning scalable web services Proficiency in creating optimized NoSQL queries Experience in architecting data access patterns Proficient in building and consuming RESTful web services Experience with greenfield projects and extending existing codebases Knowledge of security best practices, including OWASP Strong communication skills for requirements gathering and collaboration Experience mentoring engineers Curious, creative, and collaborative mindset About Botkeeper: Botkeeper combines skilled accountants and AI-driven automation to provide 24/7 bookkeeping services.
